Reviewer Guidelines
Peer review, also known as refereeing, is a collaborative process where independent experts in the same research field evaluate and provide comments on manuscript submissions. The feedback authors receive helps them enhance their work, while importantly, it enables editors to assess the paper's suitability for publication.
Each reviewer is expected to conduct manuscript evaluations promptly, transparently, and ethically, adhering to the COPE guidelines available at https://publicationethics.org/files/cope-ethical-guidelines-peer-reviewers-v2_0.pdf.
Reviewers should meet the following criteria:
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Declaration of Confidentiality
SE journals implement double-blind peer review. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality regarding the manuscript content, including the Abstract, until publication. It's also crucial for reviewers to ensure their identity remains undisclosed to the authors, both in their comments and in metadata for reports submitted in Microsoft Word or PDF format.
How to register as a reviewer
To become a peer reviewer in our pool, please register an account in our secure SE Manager Submission system. During account activation, you can specify your areas of expertise or classifications of interest. This ensures that you receive manuscripts for peer review that match your expertise.
